Should Angelina take the gig, it will mark "The Tourist" star's very first venture into the superhero realm. However, it will not be her first comic book movie. She previously starred in 2007's "Wanted", which was adapted from comic book miniseries of the same name by Mak Millar and J. G. Jones.
Angelina is currently working with Disney, Marvel's parent company, on "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil". The "Maleficent" sequel, which also sees Elle Fanning, Sam Riley and Imelda Staunton reprising their roles, is set to hit theaters in the U.S. sometime in 2020. Additionally, Angelina's upcoming projects include an animation/live-action hybrid titled "The One and Only Ivan", which she is also producing, and a fantasy drama from Brenda Chapman.
