AceShowbiz - Jamie Foxx once again raised questions about the status of his relationship with Katie Holmes following his appearance at an Oscars after-party. Attending the party hosted by Byron Allen at the Beverly Wilshire hotel on late Sunday night, February 24, the 2005 Academy Award winner for best actor reportedly declared he was single.
According to an eyewitness, the 51-year-old made the claim before performing onstage while being surrounded by a lot of women, including former "The Celebrity Apprentice" contestant Omarosa. "Right before he sang, he seemingly told the crowd he's single," the so-called insider tells HollywoodLife.com. "He had a lot of women on stage and danced with them! It appeared he told the crowd, 'I'm single.' "
The couple, who never publicly confirmed their relationship, was last seen together in December 2018, when they enjoyed a romantic trip aboard a private yacht. The "Django Unchained" actor and the "Dawson's Creek" alum were caught making out in some pictures obtained by paparazzi.
A source told Life & Style last month that the two's relationship was on the rocks prior to that. Jamie allegedly told his longtime girlfriend over the phone that he wanted to slow things down because he was not ready to go public with their romance.
But Katie would not give up on their relationship and suggested that they spent the weekend together in Miami. The source said, "She went above and beyond to show Jamie that she's still in love with him, begging him to give their relationship one more shot."
The source said that "it was really a make-or-break vacation, and it worked." The source added, "They had a deep conversation about their future together," claiming that "this is a new beginning for them. It was a sign that things may finally change and they can move forward in their relationship."
Jamie and Katie first sparked dating rumors in 2013. They have been keeping their relationship under the radar, though they have been slowly going public. However, when asked about his Miami vacation with his girlfriend, the "Annie" star told Us Weekly in early January, "It was foolish!"
