AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle and husband Prince Harry stepped out to greet fans while visiting the town of Birkenhead on Monday, January 14. The expecting couple was all smiles during the outing, showing off PDAs as they walked hand-in-hand.

Donning a bright red coat with a purple dress underneath, the former "Suits" actress completed her look with matching red heels. Her growing baby bump was put at the front and fans couldn't help but be curious when the lovely couple's bundle of joy will be born.

"We asked her how her pregnancy was going and she said she was six months and she tapped her tummy," well-wisher Carla Gandy, who came from nearby Wallasey with her 4-year-old daughter Sofia, told PEOPLE. Meghan later shared to them who gathered in Hamilton Square that she's due in late April.

That gives a new insight into the royal's pregnancy because Kensington Palace previously only revealed in a statement that Meghan "is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019."

Rebecca Blundell, another well-wisher who came to greet the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with her daughters Lily, 6, and Lottie, 2, added that Meghan gushed over her husband. "Meghan came up straight after and said that he's going to be a fantastic dad," she spilled.

Another young mom who was among the crowd also shared her account of her interaction with Meghan. "She said her pregnancy had gone so quickly," the woman, who was cradling her son Oliver, said. "I asked her how she was coping on those high heels. She said, 'One day at a time!' "

Despite meeting well-wishers only happened for a short period of time, it seems Meghan remembered the people well. "I explained to Meghan I'd seen her in Chester and she remembered," Jo Richards, who also met Meghan during her solo outing with the Queen in Chester, claimed. "She said, 'I've changed since you saw me last.' "

The 37-year-old beauty also opened up about her baby's gender. When Richards' friend Jean Elliot told her that she thought she was having a girl, Meghan allegedly revealed that "there are 'strong opinions about that, but it's a 50/50 split!' " However, she refused to further shed any light on the hot topic.

"We don't know. We're keeping it a surprise," she reportedly told another expectant mom named Angel Midgely. "Whichever way, we'll be thrilled with the outcome."

Kensington Palace announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child together in October. "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019," the palace said in a statement at the time. "Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public."
