In an apology video which he posts on Instagram, the 'Gucci Gang' rapper explains that he has no hard feelings against Asian community after he uses racial slur on 'Butterfly Doors'.

AceShowbiz - Lil Pump's Christmas celebration starts off with an apology to the Asian community who is hurt by his use of racial slur on an upcoming song. Following the backlash that he received for the issue, the young rapper took to Instagram on Tuesday, December 25 to apologize for what he did and wish his fans and followers a happy holiday.

In the video which he posted on the photo-sharing platform, Pump said, "I came here to tell you guys that I seen the whole thing going on on the internet and all that and I came here to tell you for my part that I'm sorry and I apologize for posting that. It was not my intention to hurt nobody or do none of that, deada**."

The "Gucci Gang" hitmaker then insisted that he didn't have any hard feelings against the Asian community because he also has a slew of Asian friends. "I f**k with everybody. I ain't got nothing against nobody," he said, concluding his video by wishing his fans and followers a merry Christmas. "I want everybody to have a merry Christmas and spread love and positivity," he noted.

In addition to apologizing, Pump has deleted the video from his Instagram account.

Pump had become the subject of several disses in recent days after he shared a snippet of his new song, "Butterfly Doors", which contains anti-Asian slur and gestures. In an Instagram video, he could be seen dancing along while the song played in the background. He pulled back his eyes during the lyrics, "They call me Yao Ming cause my eyes real love," before coming in with the ad-lib "ching chong," a derogatory reference to the Chinese language.

Awkwafina, who is of Chinese and Korean descent, was among those who criticized the "I Love It" spitter. "Always nice to hear a new song with a Ching Chong adlib," the "Crazy Rich Asians" star wrote in a since-deleted tweet. "Guess it's better than 'eyes ching' like some other verses I've heard. But can we at least think of some more creative racist epithets? @lilpump."
