AceShowbiz - Nikki Bella is determined to make the most of her single status this Christmas, following her split from fiance John Cena.

The professional wrestler, one half of The Bella Twins, and the "Trainwreck" hunk announced they had ended their engagement in April, just weeks before their wedding, but it appeared they were working to rebuild their relationship at the beginning of the summer.

They later called time on their romance once again, and 35-year-old Nikki is embracing the dating scene again this festive season.

"I haven't been able to really enjoy the single life properly," she told Us Weekly. "It's hard being a single girl. Over the holidays, I'm really looking forward to wandering into some bars and being a single girl".

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight back in September, Nikki revealed she and wrestler-turned-actor John were no longer on speaking terms.

"He's doing him and I'm doing me," she said at the time. "I slowly feel like I'm (taking time for myself). I think it's happiness, and just fully being happy and that's what I want".

However, she added that she was finding her period of self discovery "scary".

"I just feel like I'm at that age where I'm discovering who I really am and what I want out of life and just, like, independence," she added. "It is scary and you do have these moments of like, 'What am I doing?' - and fear. I just kind of am liking the challenge (sic)".
