After multiple miscarriages, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade welcomed their firstborn on November 7 via surrogate. Named Kaavia James Union Wade, the baby was named after the "Breaking In" actress' godfather. "We wanted my family represented in her name. My godfather is my uncle James Glass. She is named after him," she shared.
Recently, the actress and his basketball player husband sat down for an emotional video in which they got candid about their journey before welcoming Kaavia. Of suffering miscarriages for nine times, Gabrielle shared, "It just feels like a lot of shame, like years of shame and humiliation and betrayal of your body. It's so many emotions. Actually, it's not a problem getting pregnant. it was holding the baby."
