AceShowbiz - Fans who attended Elton John's concert in Orlando Tuesday night, November 27 were left disappointed after learning that their idol could not entertain them that night. Staff at the Amway Center, where the show was supposed to take place, announced that the concert had been canceled nearly thirty minutes after the show was scheduled to start.
"We're sorry to announce that due to an ear infection, Elton John is unable to perform tonight," they stated in a statement released on Twitter, announcing that the show would be rescheduled on a later date. "The rescheduled Orlando date will be announced in the near future so please hold onto your tickets."

Despite the reasoning, fans couldn't help but voice their frustration over the cancellation as they weren't notified before the show. "Sir Elton John I think the way that your show was cancelled tonight in Orlando was pitiful!" one fan tweeted. "You let all your fans including me pay for parking, hotels, babysitters, drinks, merchandise then sit and wait for 25 min after it was begin to cancel. Pitiful."

There was also an individual who revealed that her son was crying when he learned the news. Along with a picture of her crying son, the user wrote, "I can't believe you canceled an 8pm concert at 8.25pm. No-one could have called that earlier? Seriously? Unbelievable. My 8 year old mega fan is devastated." Another similarly noted how they should have been notified before they "entered, ate and sat down in the arena."

Unfortunately for fans, the Orlando show wasn't the only concert that Elton had to cancel due to his health issue. Shortly after that, his team announced that the sold-out show in Tampa would be postponed per doctor's orders. He was supposed to hold the show on the following day.
"All tickets for the original date are valid for the rescheduled date which will be announced shortly no exchanges needed," so a press release read. "If a guest cannot attend the rescheduled date, refunds are available at point of purchase."
Both shows in Orlando and Tampa are parts of Elton's "Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour". The trek is expected to end on December 16, 2020 in London, England.
