Celebrity

While the cause of Josh Fauver's passing at the age of 39 remains undisclosed, the Atlanta, Georgia rock band pays their tribute with a posting of an old group photo on its social media account.

AceShowbiz - Rockers Deerhunter have been plunged into sadness after learning of the death of former bassist Josh Fauver.

A representative for the group has confirmed the musician's passing at the age of 39, but no further details have been released.

He joined Deerhunter in 2004 after frontman Bradford Cox and his bandmates suffered another tragedy, losing original bassist Justin Bosworth following a serious skateboarding accident.

Fauver featured on the "Helicopter" stars' self-titled debut in 2004, and played on each album until "Halcyon Digest" in 2010.

He left the group in 2012, and continued to run his own record label, Army of Bad Luck.

He had also been a member of local Atlanta bands Electrosleep International and S.I.D.S.

Deerhunter paid tribute to Fauver on Sunday, November 04 by sharing an old photo of the group on Instagram.
