AceShowbiz - Many went on in the Wednesday, October 17 episode of "Survivor: David vs. Goliath". Two players quit the show, leading to a brand new advantage arriving on the scene as well as dramatic alteration in the tribe dynamics.

In the episode, titled "Time to Bring About the Charmpocaplypse", the David and Goliath tribes were shattered into three new groups following the departure of Bi Nguyen. The MMA fighter suffered a knee injury in last week's immunity challenge. As she feared that the injury might be a threat to her career, she decided to leave the show.

Bi's departure marked the fourth casualty in the season and the second time for a contestant to leave due to medical reasons. Pat Cusack was previously evacuated in the season premiere.

The new tribes were Jabeni, Vuku and Tiva. Wearing the purple buffs formerly belonging to Goliath, Jabeni was made of ex-Davids Nick Wilson and Lyrsa Torres, as well as ex-Goliaths Mike White, Natalie Cole and Angelina Keeley. Vuku, wearing the orange buffs of the former David, consisted of mer Goliaths Kara Kay, Alec Merlino and Natalia Azoqa, and remaining David defenders Davie Rickenbacker and Elizabeth Olson.

Meanwhile, an entirely new tribe Tiva wore off-green buffs. The members included Christian Hubicki and Gabby Pascuzzi, the hulking Goliaths known as John "The Mayor of Slamtown" Hennigan and Dan "Hot Cop" Rengering, as well as limitedly visible doctor Alison Raybould.

New tribes obviously meant new drama. Nick formed an alliance with Mike White a.k.a. "The Rock Stars" at Jabeni with Natalie Cole continuing to get on her tribe mates' nerves. Tiva members welcomed Christian while Gabby was struggling to find a place in her new tribe.

Tiva came as the winner in the immunity challenge with Jabeni as the second-place finisher, putting Vuku in a jeopardy as one member was about to be sent home. Davie and Elizabeth worked together to make Alec betray his longtime ally Natalia. It worked because Natalia was later announced as the fifth person eliminated this season.
