Eminem Turns the Top of Empire State Building Into Stage for 'Venom' Performance

There is also a comedic skit in the middle of the performance, which is aired in the latest episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

AceShowbiz - As "Venom" is currently hitting theaters across the nation, Eminem has finally debuted live performance of the soundtrack to the Marvel movie. Serving as the musical guest in the October 15 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", the Detroit rapper performed "Venom" from the top of Empire State Building.

Introduced by host Jimmy Kimmel, his set was entirely filmed using Google Pixel 3 phone. It started off with Slim Shady entering the building before launching into the song, strutting his way to the top of the New York landmark.

There was also a comedic interlude where Em's microphone stopped working in the middle of the performance. Flustered, the rapper continued to tap the mic in hopes it would work again. That was when he met Kimmel sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez, who offered him a brand new microphone. Em then revealed facts about the Empire State Building's construction before bidding farewell to Rodriguez with a hug.

Em continued his performance from atop the building. "Venom, (I got that) adrenaline momentum/ And I'm not knowin' when I'm/ Ever gonna slow up and I'm," he rapped. "Ready to snap any moment I'm/ Thinkin' it's time to go get 'em/ They ain't gonna know what hit 'em."

In addition to the soundtrack album, "Venom" is included on Em's latest album "Kamikaze". His tenth studio album debuted atop Billboard 200 with 434,000 album units, marking his ninth consecutive No. 1 album on the chart. The feat made him tie with Garth Brooks and The Rolling Stones for fifth-most entries to top the chart.

In support of the album, Em will be hitting the road in Australia and New Zealand. The trek will launch on February 20, 2019 at Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre in Queensland, Australia and wrap up on March 2 at Westpac Stadium in Wellington, New Zealand.
