The Alex Kalymnios-directed film will pick up the story of a daughter who murders her controlling mother after forced to believe she was physically and mentally challenged.

AceShowbiz - Marcia Gay Harden has been cast as a real-life abusive mum who convinced her daughter she was mentally and physically disabled.
The Oscar winner will front director Alex Kalymnios' new drama "Love You to Death", which follows the headline grabbing saga of a daughter who killed her controlling mother and fled with her boyfriend.
The girl, Esme, believed from a young age she was physically and mentally challenged and confined to a wheelchair. Her mother, Camile, managed to convince neighbours and friends her daughter was sick.
But when police found Camile stabbed to death and her daughter missing, they launched a search only to discover there was nothing wrong with Esme, who was a victim of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, forced to believe she was ill by her controlling and abusive mother.
