'I promise to make tonight up to you with a new date very soon,' tweets the 'Fighter' singer as she explains that she was unable to do the one 'Liberation Tour' stop due to lost voice.

AceShowbiz - Christina Aguilera has been forced to cancel a show in Canada after losing her voice.

The pop star took to Twitter on Thursday, October 11 to apologise to fans who were hoping to see her on tour in Orillia, Ontario hours later, explaining her doctor has advised her not to go on.

"It aches me to share that I am under the weather and have lost my voice today," she tweeted. "Per doctor's order, I need to rest in order to get well asap."

"I have kept you waiting so long and I look forward to each night on this tour. I promise to make tonight up to you with a new date very soon - until then I am sending love and gratitude for your support and I CANNOT WAIT to get back on the stage after this short rest."

The "Fighter" singer has another 16 U.S. dates scheduled on her "Liberation" tour, including a show in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday, October 13.
