AceShowbiz - The Foo Fighters have been forced to reschedule a pair of Canadian tour dates after frontman Dave Grohl was placed on vocal rest.
The rockers only launched the latest leg of their Concrete and Gold tour in Seattle, Washington on Saturday, September 01, but Grohl's illness means their planned shows in Edmonton on Tuesday, September 04 and Calgary on Thursday, September 06, will no longer go ahead as planned.
The two gigs will now take place in late October.
In a statement, Grohl jokes about catching an infection from U2 star Bono, who also suffered vocal issues over the weekend.
"That's the last time I ever make out with Bono," he quips.

The Pretender hitmakers are expected to return to the stage in Vancouver, Canada on 8 September.
"Foo Fighters are, as always, grateful for (the) understanding and support of their fans everywhere and look forward to seeing everyone in Edmonton and Calgary in October," their press release adds.
U2 had to cut short their gig in Berlin, Germany, on Saturday when Bono lost his voice midway through their track Red Flag Day. The Irish musicians apologised to fans for the unexpected health problem and promised to return for a make-up date, and on Sunday night, Bono updated devotees by assuring them his ailment was not more serious.
"I've seen a great doctor and with his care I'll be back to full voice for the rest of the tour," he wrote on the band's website. "So happy and relieved that anything serious has been ruled out.
"My relief is tempered by the knowledge that the Berlin audience were so inconvenienced. There was an amazing atmosphere in the house, it was going to be one of those unforgettable nights but not for this reason... We can't wait to get back there on November 13th."
