The rapper also reportedly contests law enforcement officials' account of the incident in Los Angeles.

AceShowbiz - Young Thug has reportedly posted bail for several members of his entourage who were arrested on firearms charges in Los Angeles earlier this month.

The Pick Up the Phone hitmaker was celebrating his 27th birthday and the launch of his album Slime Language at Hollywood venue Dave & Buster's on 16 August when his car was pulled over by police officers for allegedly bumping into a police vehicle outside of the restaurant.

Los Angeles Police Department officers allege they found several guns in the car and Young Thug, real name Jeffrey Williams, and members of his crew were taken into custody.

Accordingly, sources close to the rapper have now told reporters at TMZ that he posted bail for all his pals - including $50,000 (£39,000) for one associate accused of possessing an AK-47 assault rifle and $35,000 (£27,000) each for the remaining four members of his posse.

The rapper also reportedly contests law enforcement officials' account of the incident - as TMZ's source claimed he and his crew were inside the eatery when cops stormed inside.

The insider told the gossip site that two of Thug's associates had permits allowing them to carry weapons but they were still arrested and booked for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.
