The younger sister of Miley Cyrus reveals her rapper boyfriend slid into her DM first.

AceShowbiz - Singer Noah Cyrus first connected with her rapper boyfriend Lil Xan after he messaged her on social media.

Miley Cyrus' little sister and Lil Xan went public with their budding romance online last month, when they each shared snaps of themselves getting cosy on Instagram.

"My baby girl," Xan captioned one image of the pair, in which Noah wore a basketball jersey bearing his name on the back.

"I like her," the tattooed MC wrote beside another photo of the couple almost touching tongues.

Now Noah has opened up about how she and Xan, real name Diego Leanos, got together, revealing he had reached out to her in a direct message (DM) via Twitter.

"Xan slid into the DMs," she told E! News. "It works, people!"

However, she then confessed his plan to get her attention didn't quite go as smoothly as he had anticipated, as it took her a while to realise he had sent her a private message.

"Actually, it didn't work," Noah admitted. "He DM'd me, like, in February, and I didn't see it for months and then I saw that he was following me and I was like, 'Lil Xan, cool, he's following me. I'll follow him back.' And then I saw his DM and (now) we're just hanging out making music."

Teasing a potential collaboration with Xan, she hinted fans might have something to look forward to "maybe really soon".

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old Make Me hitmaker, insists her famous family has no qualms about her romance with the 21-year-old rapper.

"My family wants whatever makes me happy and I'm so happy," she smiled.
