The 'Billions' actor admits he likes to watch trials at the Central Criminal Court, also known as the Old Bailey.

AceShowbiz - Paul Giamatti spends his vacation time in London sitting in on criminal trials.

The "Billions" actor made an appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Tuesday night (July 31) where he shared that he had recently gone on vacations to Cape Cod, Massachusetts and the British capital.

Host Stephen then asked him what he enjoys doing in London and he explained that he likes to watch trials at the Central Criminal Court, also known as the Old Bailey.

"You know what I do, I go and sit in on trials at the Old Bailey. I love it, the guys with the wigs. I think I just heard you could do it, so I was like, 'Well, I've got to go check that out.' I went alone," he said.

Paul went on to explain that he has been visiting the Old Bailey for many years, even before he played U.S. President John Adams in 2008 miniseries John Adams.

"There was a really intense, crazy murder trial I just went to. Whenever I'm in London I do it," the 51-year-old commented. "It's really interesting. They do actually kind of know me. The guards at the metal detectors know me."
