AceShowbiz - Danny Rand now has a city to protect after Matt Murdock's apparent death on "Marvel's The Defenders". Netflix released the first trailer for season 2 of "Marvel's Iron Fist" during its panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 on Thursday, July 19.
The clip focuses on one particular fight between the immortal Iron Fist and a group of villains, with him warning them about a brewing war in voiceover. Having a super power, it's obvious that he's not afraid of the war as he says, "This is my city now. It's my duty to protect it, and I'm not backing down." The fight then continues to escalate until he has to draw his glowing yellow fist and knock down all of his enemies.
During the panel, Jessica Henwick, who plays Colleen Wing on the Marvel series, teased that fans of the series will get to see the Daughters of the Dragon. It is a team up between Colleen and Misty Knight (Simone Missick), a Harlem detective who is a major character on "Luke Cage" and "The Defenders". It is also announced that Alice Eve will play Mary Walker a.k.a. villain Typhoid Mary in the upcoming season.
"Iron Fist" features Danny Rand (Finn Jones) as he fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist. In the upcoming season, Danny has promised that with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) gone, he will step up and protect this city. But a sinister plot twist threatens his very identity and he must conquer his villains to protect the town and people he holds close to his heart.
Besides Henwick and Jones, Sacha Dhawan, Tom Pelphrey and Jessica Stroup will reprise their respective roles. It will premiere on September 7 on Netflix.
