Drake Sets New Record After Dominating Billboard's Hot 100

The Canadian rapper has claimed seven of the top 10 spots on the chart, beating Michael Jackson as the male solo artist with most top 10 entries.

AceShowbiz - Drake has stolen Michael Jackson's crown as the male solo artist with the most top 10 entries on America's singles chart after dominating the new Billboard Hot 100.

The hip-hop superstar's record-breaking album Scorpion earned the Canadian his eighth number one in a row on the Billboard 200 on Sunday, July 08, and now he has claimed seven of the top 10 spots on the singles rundown.

Nice for What returns to pole position for an eighth non-consecutive week, with God's Plan climbing to four, and I'm Upset moving up to seven.

The other four Drake tracks are all new entries, with Nonstop at two, In My Feelings at six, Emotionless at eight, and Don't Matter to Me, which features the late King of Pop, at nine.

The MC's huge success sets a new career record among male solo artists, with 31 hits in the Hot 100 top 10 to date. Don't Matter to Me marks Jackson's 30th U.S. top 10.

It also ties Drake with former flame Rihanna among all artists. Only The Beatles (34) and Madonna (38) have more Hot 100 top 10 entries.

Drake is now also the artist with the most simultaneous top 10 mentions, besting The Beatles, who scored five back in 1964. However, the British rockers remain the only act to occupy positions one to five in a single week.

The rapper's double album also helps him land another 20 mentions on the entire countdown, breaking his previous record for the most simultaneously-charted titles with a total of 27. Every song from the project managed to make it onto the Billboard Hot 100 tally.

Meanwhile, the remaining top 10 spots are filled by Cardi B, Bad Bunny, and J Balvin at three with I Like It, Girls Like You by Maroon 5, which also feautres Cardi, falls to five, and XXXTentacion's Sad! closes out the top 10 at 10.
