AceShowbiz - Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba's "Bad Boys" spin-off has officially been saved.
Bosses at Charter Communications picked up the pilot episode of "L.A.'s Finest" after network executives at NBC passed on the project, which features Union's "Bad Boys 2" character Syd Burnett fighting crime in Los Angeles, with Alba as her single-mother sidekick.
And it seems they like what they've seen so far - they have given the project a 13-episode, straight-to-series order.
Premiering in 2019 exclusively on the Spectrum network, the series will also feature Ernie Hudson, Zack Gilford, Duane Martin, Ryan McPartlin.
Alba and Union are among the executive producers, alongside "Bad Boys" mastermind Jerry Bruckheimer.
