The star committed suicide by hanging while staying in a hotel in Kraysersberg.

AceShowbiz - Coroners in France did not find any narcotics in Anthony Bourdain's system following the celebrity chef's death earlier this month.

The TV star, who had battled substance abuse issues in the past, committed suicide by hanging while staying in a hotel in Kraysersberg, during filming for his CNN travel show Parts Unknown.

According to the New York Times, prosecutor Christian de Rocquigny has now revealed Bourdain only had a non-narcotic medication in his system, but tests indicate it was only used for therapeutic reasons.

Bourdain's body was cremated in France last week, ends June 15, but his family members are planning to hold a private service for loved ones in the near future.

"He would want as little fuss as possible," said his mother Gladys Bourdain, who is also set to memorialise her son by having "Tony" tattooed on her wrist.
