The KKW Beauty founder, who came with her mother Kris Jenner, sported the same hairstyle after her 'Bo Derek braids' caused controversy earlier this year.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian tested the fashion police again at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Saturday, June 16 when she arrived sporting cornrows.

The reality TV star's "Bo Derek braids" caused a stir back in January, when she showed off her new hairstyle online and credited the 10 star for the inspiration - a look she had previously shown off in 2013.

Kim's apparent failure to give a nod to the original creators of the historic style, African Fulani women, angered many social media users, who called the star out for cultural appropriation.

Kanye West's wife refused to apologise and made it clear she couldn't care less about the criticism by posting follow-up photos, including an Instagram snap of herself reclining on a bed while on the phone, which she captioned: "Hi, can I get zero f**ks please, thanks".

In an Elle magazine interview, conducted a day before she debuted her latest braided style online, Kim made it clear she was unconcerned with the backlash she may receive.

"I'm not worried, because I love Bo Derek," she said. "It's a reference. If you genuinely love something, then it's what you should do. It's appreciation".

And the defiant star teased her critics again in Santa Monica, California on Saturday, by rocking the cornrow look again.

The mother-of-three hit the red carpet with her mum, Kris Jenner.

Meanwhile, Kim admits her tussle with Trump has spurred on her own political dreams, telling CNN's The Van Jones Show she would "never say never" when it comes to running for office.

It served as her first red carpet appearance since she recently made headlines for helping to free great-grandmother Alice Marie Johnson from jail by urging U.S. leader Donald Trump to grant her clemency on a life sentence. The two women met for the first time for a Today TV interview last week, ends June 15.
