AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle for the first time stepped out solo for a royal engagement with Queen Elizabeth following her royal wedding to Prince Harry. The pair totally looked like royal besties as they visited northwest England for a series of events.
The Queen stole the show in a lime green dress with a matching hat that featured a flower-like embellishment. Meanwhile, Meghan looked stunning in an eggshell-colored Givency dress with a black belt in her tiny waist. Unlike her previous dress at the Trooping the Color celebrations, which sparked controversy as it was dubbed "inappropriate," this dress had her shoulders covered.
But that's not the highlight of that day. Meghan, who completed her look with a black clutch, was seen donning dazzling pearl earrings which were a gift from the Queen. It, however, remains unknown if the earrings are her personal collection or she bought them especially for Meghan.

"We loved the personal touch that was shared between the Queen and her new granddaughter-in-law when the Queen gifted Meghan with a pair of pearl earrings, which Meghan wore today," Amanda Dishaw of Meghan's Mirror said to E! News. "We love to think of the Queen digging through her personal collection to find something for Meghan, and then also of how special those earrings will be to Meghan."

During the event, The Queen and Meghan attended the opening of Mersey Gateway Bridge where they were enjoying a performance by local schoolchildren. They also observed the national silence in memory of the people who died in the Grenfell Tower fire, a year ago today.
