During their Apollo Theater show in New York, Bono also addresses the deaths of designer Kate Spade.

AceShowbiz - U2 dedicated the song they wrote after pal Michael Hutchence hanged himself to chef and TV travel show presenter Anthony Bourdain during their Apollo Theater show in New York on Monday night (June 11).

Bono also addressed the deaths of designer Kate Spade and a handful of celebrities in the last year at the invitation-only show.

"Music lost some great people who gave up on their own life, and that makes it kinda harder. Fashion and now this great storyteller (Bourdain), who I'm sure had stories he couldn't tell us," the Irishman said.

The band then launched into its 2000 hit "Stuck in a Moment", which was originally written about the INXS lead singer.

Troubled Bourdain hanged himself in his hotel room in France on Friday morning (June 08).
