AceShowbiz - Lil Wayne is asking a judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed against him over an altercation at a nightclub.

Andrew Nunemacher sued the Lollipop hitmaker last year (17), claiming the rapper punched him in the face at Hyde nightclub in Los Angeles in June, 2016, when he was working as a security guard for a BET Music Awards afterparty.

Nunemacher also alleged Lil Wayne became belligerent, threw a glass of alcohol in his face, and yelled, "F**k you white boy!". He went on to claim Lil Wayne's words make the incident a hate crime and is suing the rapper, bosses at his record label, and the club for unspecified damages.

He is also seeking an additional $25,000 (£18,700) civil penalty for the alleged hate crime.

However, according to The Blast, the 35-year-old is denying the allegations and insisting he acted in a "careful" and "reasonable" manner. Lil Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter Jr., is also arguing that if Nunemacher suffered any damages they were due to self-defence and negligence.

Carter is asking the judge to toss the lawsuit.
