AceShowbiz - Rapper and actor Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambino has broken all of his previous YouTube records with his controversial new video "This Is America". The Atlanta star, real name Donald Glover Jr., released the video on Saturday, May 6, hours after he hosted U.S. sketch show "Saturday Night Live", and it has already amassed over 50 million views on the streaming site.
According to Billboard, Glover's powerful video, which tackles themes of racism, police brutality and gun violence, was watched almost one million times in an hour and picked up over 12 million views within a day of its release. It is also one the biggest music video debuts and was also the most-watched promo from Sunday to Tuesday, May 06-08.
