AceShowbiz - Actor Tom Sizemore has settled a $20 million lawsuit with a stuntman he reportedly ran over with a car while filming the "Shooter" TV reboot in 2016. The lawsuit parties are scheduled to return to court in July to finalize the agreement, according to Deadline.

Steven De Castro had to be airlifted to a hospital in July 2016 after he was struck by a Cadillac SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) during the series' production at the Agua Dulce Airport in Santa Clarita, California. Reports at the time suggested Sizemore, who was driving, misunderstood instructions given by a stunt co-ordinator on set and did not see De Castro when he put the car in reverse.

The stuntman filed suit against Sizemore in October 2016, claiming the actor was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. Sizemore was sued alongside production chiefs at Viacom and Paramount for charges including negligence, battery, assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. In November 2017, the plaintiff asked for damages in excess of $20 million.

Meanwhile, Sizemore was fired from the "Shooter" series weeks later after he was arrested following an altercation with his then-girlfriend, and the 56-year-old was subsequently charged with domestic violence, battery, and making criminal threats.

"Shooter", which stars Ryan Phillippe, is the small screen adaptation of Mark Wahlberg's 2007 action film of the same name.
