The rocker announces the cancellation in a statement, which explains that he 'is not allowed to travel or fly right now.'

AceShowbiz - Rocker Joe Lynn Turner has scrapped his upcoming tour dates after suffering a heart attack in his adopted Belarus on Friday, April 13. The former Rainbow and Deep Purple singer was hospitalized after falling ill but is now on the road to recovery after his health scare.

However, doctors have advised him to rest up for a few months, and that means a tour that was set to start next week has been cancelled.

His Finnish booking agent Thomas Stahl has released a statement, which reads, "Due to an unplanned medical procedure, Joe Lynn Turner is postponing all activities for the next few months as he is not allowed to travel or fly right now."

"We are working on rescheduling all club shows and will announce new dates as soon as possible... We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. No fear, only love and positive thoughts!" so the statement continues.

Turner, 66, was reportedly treated at a Minsk medical centre for "myocardial infarction". He will continue to receive treatment there for the next few weeks.
