Philippa Craddock has been chosen as the florist for the couple's May nuptials while Royal Parks will supply some pollinator-friendly plants that will be incorporated into the floral designs.

AceShowbiz - Things are slowly settled for the highly-anticipated royal wedding for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. On Sunday, April 1, Kensington Palace took to its Twitter account to announce that the couple had chosen their florist for their upcoming big day.

"Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle have chosen floral designer Philippa Craddock to create the church flowers for their wedding," the account wrote. "The floral displays in St George's Chapel will be created using locally sourced foliage, much of which will be taken from the gardens and parkland of The Crown Estate and @WindsorGtPark."

It was also revealed that Craddock would use "flowers and plants that are in season and blooming naturally in May" for the piece if that was possible. The flowers and plants include "branches of beech, birch and hornbeam, as well as white garden roses, peonies and foxgloves."

"I am excited and honored to have been chosen by Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle to design and create their wedding flowers," Craddock said in a statement. "Working with them has been an absolute pleasure. The process has been highly collaborative, free-flowing, creative and fun. The final designs will represent them as a couple, which I always aim to achieve in my work, with local sourcing, seasonality and sustainability being at the forefront."

Craddock is no stranger to working for a major event. The fair-trade artist previously worked with famous brands such as Hermes, Dior, Alexander McQueen and British Vogue.

Meanwhile, "@RoyalParks will supply some pollinator-friendly plants from their wildflower meadows that will be incorporated into the floral designs. These plants provide a great habitat for bees & help to nurture and sustain entire ecosystems by promoting a healthy & biodiverse environment." The flowers will be donated to charity following the nuptials.

A source said that Meghan "has been very hands on with all elements of the wedding, but especially the flowers." The source added that the bride-to-be "seemed to have a pretty clear idea of what she wanted then. It was lots of spring time whites and pastels and very romantic flowers. I would say her vision was very fashionable and fairy tale if you know what I mean."

Prince Harry and Meghan are set to wed on May 19 at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. The nuptials will begin at 12 P.M. U.K. time or 7 A.M. EST with The Right Rev. David Conner, the dean of Windsor, conducting the wedding service. Meanwhile, The Most Rev. Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, will officiate when the couple takes their marriage vows.
