A sneak peek of 'Sundays with Alec Baldwin' is scheduled to air immediately after the Academy Awards on Sunday night at 11.35 P.M.

AceShowbiz - ABC has ordered a new talk show hosted by Alec Baldwin. Titled "Sundays with Alec Baldwin", the upcoming show will feature in-depth interviews with Jerry Seinfeld and Kate McKinnon in its first episode.

The hour-long talk show is set to be modeled after Alec's popular WNYC podcast "Here's the Thing with Alec Baldwin". The network announces that it will air a sneak peek immediately after the Academy Awards on Sunday night at 11.35 P.M. Meanwhile, eight additional episodes are scheduled to premiere later this year.

"I'm excited about this show and grateful to ABC for taking a chance on me in what is, admittedly, a crowded field," said the "Saturday Night Live" star in a statement. "I've enjoyed doing my podcast for WNYC and look forward to the challenge of doing a show on camera."

"Alec's intellect, wit and wealth of life experience afford him a voice and perspective we haven't seen before in this format," Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment, added. "When we shot the pilot, we knew immediately we had something special that we couldn't wait to share. We are excited to be working on a series that showcases Alec as one of today's most compelling conversationalists and highlights the type of intimate discussions that he has captured on his podcast for years."

Just like "Here's the Thing with Alec Baldwin", which featured lengthy interviews with the likes of Barbra Streisand and Anthony Weiner, "Sundays with Alec Baldwin" is also expected to have guests ranging from actors to other newsmakers in the American pop culture.

While details about the new talk show are currently kept under wraps, Alec can next be seen on Hulu's "The Looming Tower", on which he plays CIA chief George Tenet. The Emmy-winning comedian also hosts and executive produces ABC's "Match Game".
