Tom Holland's Spider-Man may appear in Sony's "Venom (2018)" after all. Despite multiple denials, a new report has emerged suggesting that the 21-year-old English actor will reprise his "Captain America: Civil War" and "Spider-Man: Homecoming" role in the Venom solo movie, which will reunite him with his "Locke" co-star Tom Hardy.

During his appearance on Collider Movie Talk earlier on Tuesday, January 16, Collider Video host Jon Schnepp shared a pretty major bombshell about Holland's Spidey, revealing that he, in fact, would appear alongside Hardy's Venom in the upcoming film. "Spider-Man is going to be in 'Venom'," Schnepp said

"For the last couple of months, we've been hearing how Sony is keeping it all separated, and Spider-Man is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but every other character that's in the Spider-Man universe is separate," he added. "All I'm saying is that Spider-Man--and I'm talking about Tom Holland's Spider-Man--is going to be in 'Venom'."

Schnepp added that he didn't expect his role to be major, but assured fans that he's heard from reliable sources that Tom Holland would, in fact, appear in some capacity as Peter Parker a.k.a. the web-slinging superhero in "Venom".

In a follow-up video, Schnepp went on revealing that Holland actually had already been on set for two days with Hardy and director Ruben Fleischer, suggesting that the young actor had already filmed or just started filming his part for the film.

Rumor has it that Holland will also serve as the connecting tool for all of Sony's Marvel Universe films, which means he will likely have a role to play in the studio's upcoming untitled Silver Sable and the Black Cat project.

No further detail is known regarding Spidey's potential cameo in "Venom". But Schnepp has speculated that it may have something to do with how Hardy's Eddie Brock comes in contact with the symbiote, which may or may not be something the webcrawler picks up during the events in "Avengers: Infinity War" that is due out in the U.S. on May 4.

"Venom" is coming on October 5. Written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, it also stars Michelle Williams as Ann Weying as well as Riz Ahmed, Jenny Slate, Woody Harrelson, Reid Scott and Scott Haze.
