AceShowbiz - Ahead of an upcoming episode of season 3 of "Lucifer", the FOX series has released the first-look photos. The two photos seemingly hint that the devil himself is getting married to his frenemy Marcus Pierce.
The first photo sees Lucifer (Tom Ellis) posing with Pierce (Tom Welling) while donning summer shirts. They both have Hawaii flower necklaces around their necks with Lucifer flaunting what looks like a wedding ring on his left hand.
The other photo, meanwhile, features the unlikely pair having a dinner together. They look affectionate to each other as they hold each other's hands while smiling from ear-to-ear.
While the idea of Lucifer and Pierce getting married may sound interesting, unfortunately that is not the case. It is revealed that they will go undercover as a couple in order to find the killer of an ecstasy cook-turned-chemistry teacher.
"When Lucifer and Pierce are forced to go above and beyond to solve a murder in Suburbia, uh... there goes the neighborhood," executive producer Ildy Modrovich reveals to Entertainment Weekly.
On "Lucifer", Marcus is depicted as an accomplished police lieutenant. Like Lucifer, Pierce is charismatic and charming. They also share another thing in common as they are both biblical figures. While Lucifer is obviously the devil, Pierce is actually Cain, the first murderer.
Debuting in 2016, "Lucifer" centers on Lucifer Morningstar, who is bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell. He resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for Los Angeles to become a consultant with the Los Angeles Police Department whilst running his nightclub "Lux". The series also stars Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris and Kevin Rankin.
The episode, titled "Till Death Do Us Part", is scheduled to air on January 29. Meanwhile, the show's season 3 airs on Mondays at 8 P.M. on FOX.
