AceShowbiz - %cHugh Jackman% may return as Logan a.k.a. Wolverine after all. %cSebastian Stan%, who plays Bucky Barnes a.k.a. Winter Soldier in Marvel films, recently revealed that the 49-year-old Aussie actor had been thinking about returning as the clawed mutant for the MCU, following Disney's buyout of Fox.
Speaking at the Ace Comic-Con panel, Stan teased, "Recently I happened to be sitting next to Hugh Jackman. I didn't know what other awkward thing I could talk about but to be like, 'Am I going to see you soon?' He said a couple of things to me and I'll just leave it at that. Otherwise, I feel like I'm going to get into trouble with somebody."
"I asked him though because I kept thinking whether or not 'Logan' was supposed to be the last Wolverine thing or whatever," the 35-year-old Romanian actor continued, "and he said to me he's been thinking about it and it's been on his mind." He added, "So, I don't know, he may be." Are you intrigued?
Jackman made his final appearance as fans' favorite cigar-smoking mutant in James Mangold's critically-acclaimed "Logan" (2017). But with the recent Disney/Fox merger, many fans have been clamoring for the X-Men hero to reclaim his claws and finally join the MCU characters in a potential "X-Men"/"The Avengers" crossover.
Jackman's last movie is "The Greatest Showman", a historical period drama musical film directed by Michael Gracey in his directorial debut, which is still playing in cinemas. Meanwhile, Stan is reprising his role as the Cap's (%cChris Evans%) sidekick Bucky in the third "Avengers" movie, "Avengers: Infinity War", which is set for a May 4 U.S. release.
An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Infinity War" brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.
