Some actresses point out Franco's alleged sexual misconduct in the past after he nabbed an award for Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy at Golden Globe Awards.

AceShowbiz - James Franco's triumph at Sunday night's (January 7) Golden Globe Awards has sparked backlash from some women. The multi-hyphenated star has been accused of sexual misconduct, hours after he won an award for Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his role in "The Disaster Artist".

Actress Sarah Tither-Kaplan, who was once a student of Franco's at his acting school, tweeted, "Hey James Franco, nice #timesup pin at the #GoldenGlobes , remember a few weeks ago when you told me the full nudity you had me do in two of your movies for $100/day wasn't exploitative because I signed a contract to do it? Times up on that!"

She added, "I 100|percent| did not feel like I had a choice to say no," calling out the 39-year-old actor/director for allegedly failing to give actresses speaking roles unless the part involved nudity. She also wrote, "If a famous actor who has the ability to make or break my career with the snap of his fingers offers me a part, I don't have bargaining power. I need work. I need to eat. I need a career."

Tither-Kaplan didn't mention in which film the nude scene appeared, but she and Franco have worked together in "The Long Home" which is still in post-production.

Another actress, Violet Paley, claimed Franco once sexually assaulted her and tried to lure her 17-year-old friend to his hotel room. "Cute #TimesUp pin James Franco," she wrote on Twitter, pointing out the apparent irony of him wearing a "Time's Up" pin. She added, "Remember the time you pushed my head down in a car towards your exposed penis & that other time you told my friend to come to your hotel when she was 17? After you had already been caught doing that to a different 17 year old?"

Meanwhile, feminist writer Jessica Valenti brought up Franco's inappropriate behavior in the past when he tried to pick up a 17-year-old girl in 2014. "Whatever I still remember James Franco trying to pick up a teenager on Instagram," she wrote.

Franco had explained his Instagram message exchange with the young girl. "Seventeen is legal in New York, but that being said, it's still pretty damn young," he defended himself on "The Howard Stern Show". "They make it out like I'm pursuing young women. I'm not going to high schools looking for dates. I'm leaving my work and they're coming there. So, I'm seeing attractive women."

Franco has yet to respond to the accusations.
