Lee Hyori has found herself a new employee for the second season of JTBC's "Hyori's Bed and Breakfast". The network and SM Entertainment confirmed on Monday, January 8 that Girls' Generation's YoonA would appear as the new employee in the new season of the variety show.

"YoonA will be the new employee for the second season," a JTBC source shared. While the source said that the "filming has not begun yet for her," various news outlets reported that the 27-year-old singer/actress jetted off to Jeju Island on Monday to shoot.

It was said that the reason behind YoonA's casting was to see her and Lee Hyori, a former member of 1998-debuted famous girl group Fin.K.L., as two icons of girl groups who represent Korea interacting despite the 10 year debut gap. In addition, YoonA was deemed a suitable cast for the role as she is full of energy even though she has a gentle and fragile image.

Following the announcement of YoonA's casting, both YoonA and "Hyori's Bed & Breakfast" were trending on Naver, a South Korean online platform. It seemingly showed that fans are excited to see YoonA on the program. "Yoona's nice, pretty, outgoing... she'll be great. Support her," a fan wrote.

The first season of "Hyori's Bed & Breakfast", which premiered on June 25, 2017, featured singer IU as the employee. The singer helped Hyori and her musician husband Lee Sang Soon run their homestay in Jeju Island.

IU, however, couldn't return for the sophomore season due to scheduling conflicts.

Season 2 of "Hyori's Bed & Breakfast" is set to premiere in the first half of 2018.
