AceShowbiz - After traveling to Spain for their honeymoon, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo had a low-key outing on Christmas eve. The newlyweds were spotted enjoying a bowling date on Sunday night, December 24. They reportedly visited a bowling alley in Itaewon and were joined by some of their close friends.
Joong Ki went casual with a dark long-sleeve shirt, khaki pants and a hat. Hye Kyo, meanwhile, donned a gray top and dark pants. An onlooker says the couple showed great affection for one another and overflew with sweetness.
This year marks Joong Ki and Hye Kyo's first Christmas together as husband and wife. The pair, who first sparked dating rumors after they starred as a couple on 2016's "Descendants of the Sun", announced their wedding plans in July this year. They tied the knot on October 31 at Shilla Hotel. They have since lived in a two-story house with a basement in Itaewon that Joong Ki bought and remodeled prior to their wedding.
On the red carpet of the 2017 MAMA in Hong Kong where he served as the host, Joong Ki talked about the best things that had happened in his life recently. "I've met a wonderful production [on 'Descendants of the Sun'] and received great love. I've had an honorable experience, and I'll work to return the love," he said.
Asked about his next project, he shared, "I've only recently got married so I think it's important to take time to enjoy my newlywed life. I haven't decided on my next project yet but I hope to greet fans with something soon."
Joong Ki's last acting credit is "The Battleship Island", which was released in July this year. The Japanese occupation-era film tells a story about an attempted prison break from a forced labor camp on Hashima Island. Also starring Hwang Jung Min and So Ji Sub, it set a new record in South Korea by reaching 970,516 viewers on its opening night. The movie has grossed $46.1 million against its $21 million budget.
