AceShowbiz - Siwan, who is currently serving in military, recently injured his ankle. The 29-year-old actor/singer reportedly slipped on ice and suffered from an ankle ligament injury. He visited the hospital to receive treatment and is currently on his way to recovery.

His agency Plum Entertainment has confirmed the small misfortune that befell its artist, "It is true that Im Siwan injured his ankle in the military. He is currently focusing on treatment and is recovering." However, the agency can't explain what happened that caused the injury, adding, "It is difficult to reveal the specifics including the cause of the injury because it occurred in the military."

Siwan enlisted in the military as an active duty soldier on July 11. After completing basic training, he was appointed as an assistant instructor for new recruits of the 25th division. He is scheduled to be discharged on April 10, 2019.

Siwan is the fourth member of ZE:A to fulfill his military service after Minwoo, Taeheon and Kwanghee. His groupmate Kwanghee is also still in the army to complete his mandatory military service, having been enlisted earlier in March.

Prior to his military enlistment, Siwan starred on MBC's historical drama "The King in Love" which also had Yoona and Hong Jong Hyun among the cast members. His co-stars, including Yoona, Jong Hyun, Oh Min Suk, Yoon Jong Hoon, Park Young Woon and Choo Soo Hyun, visited him in the military in September.

"Im Siwan appeared to be as cool and energetic as ever," Girls' Generation's Yoona said of Siwan after the visit. "He said that he was unable to watch any of 'The King in Love' because of training and such. I told him to not worry because there were many people who liked [his character] Wang Won."
