Before considering her as a co-star that he holds dear, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher had the hots for each other. The actor reveals in a new interview with The Guardian that he and the late actress once hooked up while filming the first "Star Wars" movie.

"Carrie and I were attracted to one another, but I knew from previous jobs that it would have been a bad idea [to get involved with someone on set,]" the 66-year-old actor admits. "But Carrie and I found pretexts."

He goes on sharing, "I remember one time - I'm sure alcohol was involved - we were talking about kissing techniques. 'Well I think I'm a fairly good kisser. I like to let the women come to me rather than be aggressive.' And she said, 'What do you mean?' Well, next thing you know we're making out like teenagers!"

But the hot makeout session was over before it went any further. "We were all over each other! But the one thing that drew Carrie and me back from the precipice was we kind of became aware of what we were doing and just burst out laughing," Hamill recalls. He adds with a laugh, "Which was unfortunate for me because the rocket launch sequence had been initiated."

Hamill was one of those who were deeply affected by the sudden death of Fisher in December 2016. A year later, Hamill says, "It's devastating and I still haven't come to terms with it. Gosh darn it, I still think of her in the present tense, you know?"

Hamill and Fisher went on to star in more "Star Wars" movies together, including the latest installment "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" which marks Fisher's final appearance as General Leia Organa. It has hit theaters across the nation since December 14.

While Fisher managed to keep it professional between her and Hamill, she revealed in her memoir "The Princess Diarist" that she once had an affair with her other "Star Wars" co-star Harrison Ford while he was still married to Mary Marquardt.
