AceShowbiz - Jeremy Jordan fell ill after eating a bad meal at Chipotle. The 32-year-old actor who plays Winslow Schott, Jr. on The CW's DC series "Supergirl" ended up in hospital and told his online followers that he "almost died."

"I know I've advocated for them in the past, but they're terrible. I, as you can see, am in the hospital," the star said in an Instagram Story. "I have fluids in my arm because the food did not agree with me and I almost died."

"I just want to thank my wife for being amazing and talking me off the ledge when I was on the phone about to die and for holding my hair back metaphorically," he added. "I love all of you; thank you so much. It's been a night."

Soon after the story made headlines, Chipotle responded, "We are sorry to hear that Jeremy is sick and have attempted to get in touch with him directly regarding where and when he ate so we can look into this. We take all claims seriously, but at this time we can't confirm any link to Chipotle. We are always committed to making things right for our guests and will do the same for Jeremy when we are able to reach him."

The incident added to a series of bad reps for the Mexican food chain after recent footage showed a Dallas location was infested with rodents.

Jeremy Jordan was scheduled to perform at a three-day "salute to Broadway" concert in Houston from Friday, November 10 to Sunday, November 12. "Finally, I'm performing in a Texas again!" he gushed. However, he hasn't given any updates on his current status since landing in hospital.

Meanwhile, his TV show "Supergirl" has just kicked off season 3. He also reprised his role in an episode of "The Flash".
