Marilyn Manson has parted ways his band's longtime bassist Jeordie White, who is also known as Twiggy Ramirez, following rape allegations. Manson announced the news on Twitter on Tuesday, October 24.

He wrote, "I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White as a member of Marilyn Manson. He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well."

The band's frontman also shared the news on Instagram, adding a caption, "This is a sad day."

On October 20, Jack Off Jill's singer Jessicka Addams accused White of rape and abuse through a Facebook post. She stated that the abuse started when her band started to gain fans, saying that White got really jealous when Addams hung out with male friends. "He began to body shame me. He slashed my tires," Addams wrote. "When I came home late one night, he put one the stuffed animals he bought me into the burning oven in kitchen. But, I stayed, because I was conditioned since a child to endure my abuser."

She then explained that the physical abuse started when White took a cage full of white mice and dumped them into her mother's car that she borrowed at that time. "That is the first day I can remember him hitting me over and over as the mice scattered," she continued. "He later apologized profusely and said it would never happen again."

She also opened up about the incident where White raped her. She wrote, "He forced me on to the floor with his hand around my neck. I said NO. I said NO. I said it so loud enough, that Pete came rushing in from the other room to get him off of me. But I had been raped. I had been raped by somebody I thought I loved."

White hasn't released any statement regarding the allegations, but Manson has. "I knew Jessicka and Jeordie has a romantic relationship many years ago and I considered and still consider Jessicka to be a friend," he said. "I knew nothing about these allegations until very recently and am saddened by Jessicka's obvious distress."
