Another cast member of the hit AMC series, meanwhile, teases that something 'beyond what you can imagine' is waiting for RIck and Co.

AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead" recently returned for its highly-anticipated season 8, kicking it off with Rick and his group waging war on Negan. While the new season will most likely excite fans with the All-Out War storyline, star Josh McDermitt shockingly reveals that season 8 will also upset fans, fortunately in a good way.

"I think fans are going to be upset because it goes by too quick," McDermitt, who plays traitorous Eugene, tells E! News. "It's so fast-paced, action-packed. But they're going to be satisfied at the same time and excited for when we come back in the spring, too."

He adds, "We're doing so much and we're trying to tackle so much more on the show than we've ever done before. That's what I'm most excited about."

Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd echoes McDermitt's statement. The EP says, "It's going to be all of our other seasons, but on steroids. I mean, we are talking pedal to the metal and they won't be able to catch their breath."

Other cast members refuse to detail what will be coming in the season, but Danai Gurira opens up that something "beyond what you can imagine" is waiting for RIck and Co. She further explains, "It's always mixed up. You never know what you're gonna get. We mix it up just right for y'all, but it's been an amazing season to be a part of. Every episode just has a gasp in it, something in it that that we couldn't have anticipated. It's just really thrilling."

Meanwhile, Khary Payton teases that bloody scenes will soon arrive. "There's some stuff coming that I was absolutely just stunned by. I'm sitting there watching the blood spray," he explains. "It's gonna get nuts."

Season 8 of "The Walking Dead" airs Sundays at 9 P.M. on AMC.
