Asian fans may have to wait a little bit longer to watch Ed Sheeran perform live. Following a car accident on Monday, Ed announced on Instagram on Tuesday, October 17 that he had to postpone his upcoming shows in Taipei, Osaka, Seoul and Hongkong.

"A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future," he wrote. "Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hongkong."

He added, "I'm waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details."

The 26-year-old-singer was supposed to continue his "Divide (division sign)" tour in Asia from October 22 to November 23. However, with his injuries, it's unknown when Ed is going to hit the road again.

Ed was reportedly hit by a car when riding his bicycle in London on October 16. The singer was then rushed to hospital.

This wasn't the first time the "Galway Girl" singer got into an accident. In 2016, The Sun reported that Ed got his face injured after Princess Beatrice sliced his face with a sword while attempting to knight James Blunt. A source said, "As the night wore on they started talking about honors and apparently James Blunt joked that he would love a knighthood. Beatrice jokingly said she could arrange it and fetch a ceremonial sword."

The source added, "But she must have been misjudged the weight or something and, instead of lightly tapping him on the shoulder, she swung it back, not knowing Ed was standing right behind her. The blade cut into his face and it was just a few inches from his right eye."

Earlier this year, Ed finally spoke up about the accident, saying that he quietly liked the scar. "Now I've got this face scar, there's no not recognizing me because it's like, 'You've got ginger hair, tattoos and a face scar. It's definitely you!' "
