None of his co-stars were spotted on the filming set that day. The "Ant-Man" sequel, aside from featuring Paul Rudd reprising his role as Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man, sees the return of Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne a.k.a. The Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hope's father Hank Pym, a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, entomologist and physicist, and Judy Greer as Scott ex-wife, Maggie.
Michael Pena and T.I. also return as Scott's pals. Newcomers include Michelle Pfeiffer, who is added to the cast as Hope's mother Janet van Dyne, and Laurence Fishburne, who is cast as Hank's former colleague, Bill Foster. Additionally, Walton Goggins will play Cross Tech employee Sonny Burch, while Hannah John-Kamen will portray Marvel Comics villain Ghost.
"Ant-Man and the Wasp" is directed by Peyton Reed from a script co-written by the writing teams of Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, and Paul Rudd. The sequel to the 2015 superhero flick is set to hit U.S. theaters on July 6 next year.
From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: "Ant-Man and the Wasp". In the aftermath of "Captain America: Civil War," Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father.
As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he's confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
