The endless wave of remakes and revival seemingly isn't going to stop coming anytime soon. The Hollywood Reporter suggests that NBC and Imagine TV are delevoping a reboot to "Blue Crush", a 2002 surf movie.

The potential series has tapped Hannah Scheiner ("Reign") as the writer. In addition to penning the script, Scheiner is set to serve as executive producer alongside Imagine's Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo. Jillian Kugler will oversee for Imagine.

The original flick featured Kate Bosworth, Michelle Rodriguez and Sanoe Lake, playing three surfers living in Hawaii's North Shore. Just like the feature film, which was written by Lizzy Weiss and John Stockwell, the NBC series will also follow a young surfer, who works to revive her career and bring pride to a local community after surviving a life-threatening accident.

"Blue Crush" is not the only one which gets a reboot treatment. The CW is set to bringing back "Roswell" to the small screen.

Teaming with "The Originals" producer Carina MacKenzie, the network is developing the reboot based on the "Roswell High" book series by Melinda Metz. MacKenzei will write and executive produce. Also executive producing are Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Lawrence Bender and Kevin Kelly Brown.

The original "Roswell" series aired its first two seasons on The WB (now The CW) in 1999 to 2001. The series, which starred Shiri Appleby, Katherine Heigl and Colin Hanks, aired its third and final season on UPN.

The official logline of the new TV project reads, "After reluctantly returning to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of undocumented immigrants discovers a shocking truth about her teenage crush who is now a police officer: He's an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life. She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance."
