In anticipation of the release of her solo music, the 'Complicated' singer hops on the EDM group's new track off their upcoming LP 'Chameleon'.

AceShowbiz - It looks like Avril Lavigne's comeback music is coming sooner than we thought. After returning to the stage earlier this month on Nickelback's show, she has now joined forces with EDM duo Grey and rising singer Anthony Green on an infectious collaboration titled "Wings Clipped".

The track is going to be featured on the beatmakers' new album "Chameleon", which is set to arrive on September 29. "Wings Clipped" is dominated with classic pop rock tunes and a little touch of stuttering EDM-style beats.

Avril showcases her smooth vocal on the song as she rhymes, "They say it's weakness/ But you're just an angel with your wings clipped/ Someone came and took all of your secrets/ Now you can't fly away, you can't fly away/ They say it's madness/ Future on the line, you're moving backwards/ Someone came and broke you right in half."

Avril is expected to release solo music this year. She put her career on hold after she was diagnosed with Lyme disease back in 2014. Her latest studio album was a self-titled effort "Avril Lavigne", which arrived in 2013.

The 'Sk8er Boi' hitmaker first announced her sixth album late last year. She took to Instagram to reach out to her fans as writing, "I wanted to first thank my fans for your patience & support during my time away throughout my battle with Lyme Disease over the past 2 years. It hasn't just been a hard battle but it's also been enlightening and will reflect in my new music, artistry, life, and personally."

"I'm really happy to announce that I am now working on new music and I will be releasing a new album in 2017," she added. "I can't wait to open up and share my heart with you! I'm excited for you guys to hear the new songs."

The new album, which is expected to arrive later this year, will mark Avril's first effort following her new deal with BMG in March. "For this album I have a new team behind me and I just signed with BMG," she previously shared. "I've been working really hard on the new music and it's a reflection of my journey over the last few years. At this point in my career and in my life, I just wanted to put fresh energy around me and I feel like I'm having somewhat of a rebirth in my life."
