In 2005, "Rent" was adapted into a feature film with Chris Columbus directing. The movie featured six of original Broadway cast members reprising their roles. Anthony Rapp played Mark Cohen, Adam Pascal played Roger Davis and Rosario Dawson played Mimi Marquez. Also starring in the movie were Jesse L. Martin, Wilson Jermaine Heredia and Idina Menzel as Tom Collins, Angel Dumott Schunard and Maureen Johnson respectively.

Prior to "Rent", FOX will air live production of "A Christmas Story" on 17 December. Matthew Broderick is set to serve as narrator in the upcoming musical, while Maya Rudolp ("Saturday Night Live") will take on the role of Mrs. Parker, Ralphie Parker's mother.
