Britney has taken to social media to share a photo of her and Mariah posing together when they ran into each other during a dinner party.

When two pop divas meet, what could go wrong? Britney Spears and Mariah Carey recently had a classic pop mini reunion and they made sure to pose together for fans. Britney took to social media to share a photo that found her and Mariah smiling to the camera during a dinner party.
However, it looked like their reunion wasn't planned as the "...Baby One More Time" hitmaker captioned the sweet pic, "You never know who you're going to meet at dinner parties!! Great night! So much fun, thank you Cade!"
As expected, fans were going wild over the photo. "QUEENS OF POP. I am shook. I can honestly die now," a Twitter user wrote, while another similarly chimed in, "Two icons in the same room I can't breath." Some fans even asked the two megastars to hit the studio together for a collaboration.

Britney and Mariah have been vocal about their admiration for one another. In 2015, Britney admitted that she painted topless in her room while listening to Mariah's music. "I love Mariah Carey. I was painting in my room," she said. "I have an art room and I just paint on the walls and do all this kind of crazy stuff. I bought her new 'Greatest Hits' and her new 'Infinity' record yesterday and I was just in there with my top off, just like painting and doing all this artsy fartsy stuff."
Returning the favor, during an interview last year, Mariah claimed that she loves Britney. She had nothing but praises for the "Toxic" singer, saying, "We had a whole conversation. She's a really nice girl."
The mini reunion came just a day after Mariah was honored at VH1's Hip Hop Honors: '90s Game Changers. Besides being one of the honorees, the "Touch My Body" hitmaker was a performer that night. She took the stage to bring fans back to the '90s with her performance of "Honey". Assisted by Jermaine Dupri and Da Brat, Mariah stole the night with her classy performance.
