The 'Lucifer' alum will play the son of Manu Bennett's reformed villain Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke.

AceShowbiz - "Arrow" is close to reuniting Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) with one of his sons. The show has cast "Lucifer" alum Liam Hall as Joe Wilson. In the season 5 finale, Oliver (Stephen Amell) has promised Slade information on Joe in exchange for Slade's help to defeat Prometheus.

Per EW, Joe "has followed in his father’s footsteps by joining the secret Australian military agency, A.S.I.S. After years of brutal combat, Joe now finds himself in a remote Kasnian prison under the alias, Kane Wolfman, fighting for his life."

Deathstroke will return in episode 5 of the upcoming season as revealed by the episode's title "Deathstroke Returns". Executive producer Marc Guggenheim previously teased about Deathstroke's return, "... and one of the stories I'm most looking forward to is a two-parter where we will flashback to Slade's past."

Guggenheim recently also told Collider about incorporating a Black Lives Matter storyline into the show. "Last year we introduced the idea of doing one topical episode per season. Last year we did gun violence; this year we're going to do another topical episode as well. I really want to tackle Black Lives Matter, and I have a story idea for that, but where exactly that gets slotted -- we just have a range, because we like to give ourselves a little bit of flexibility," he said.

"Arrow" returns for season 6 on Thursday, October 12 at 9 P.M. on The CW. Besides Deathstroke, the season will feature Kirk Acevedo and David Nykl as Arrow's villains. Acevedo will play Ricardo Diaz a.k.a. Richard Dragon, "a hardened ex-con released from prison for crimes he didn't commit." He is later "bent on taking over Star City's criminal underworld." He is "a master in hand-to-hand combat, honed by years of life on the street," who "has yet to meet a foe he can't take down." Emerson's villainous character, meanwhile, is not revealed yet.
