Kim So Hyun decided to part ways with her agency SidusHQ after seven years. The "Who Are You: School 2015" star debuted as an child actress under SidusHQ, playing a supporting role in the 2006 Drama City special titled "Ten Minute Minor".
On Thursday, August 31, SidusHQ confirmed that they came to the agreement with Kim So Hyun after much discussion to conclude her contract. The label released a statement regarding the "Missing You" actress' departure.
"Hello, this is sidusHQ. We are writing about the end of Kim So Hyun's contract. After a long consideration with Kim So Hyun, whom we spent the last 7 years with together, we agreed to the termination of her management," SidusHQ wrote.
"We worked with Kim So Hyun for a long time and decided to respect her wishes, and we support Kim So Hyun's future of growing into a beautiful actress," it continued, "We thank all the fans who support her, and ask you to keep supporting her. Thank you."
Previous rumor said Kim So Hyun was planning on creating a new one-person agency. She later debunked the rumor on her fan cafe, writing, "Has everyone woken up? I should have informed you first.. but reports have come out this morning! However, there was talk about a one-person agency being formed. I have never thought about a one-person agency and it's not true at all."
She added, "I'm informing you because I thought you might be confused. I will let you know when my new agency has been confirmed. Please have a happy day! Hwaiting!"
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Kim So Hyun passed her high school qualification exam and she is preparing to enter college in 2018.
