George Clooney has reportedly been suffering insomnia since welcoming his first children with wife Amal Clooney. The father of two hasn't had a good night sleep in months since the arrival of his babies, Alexander and Ella.
"Between the diaper changing, taking care of Amal, doing the bare minimum work-wise and all the other various chores he's a wreck," an insider tells Radar Online. "George never believed he could feel such tiredness."
The insider notes, "He's lucky if he gets even a few hours of sleep a night on some nights, because the twins are crying non-stop and they only respond to his cuddles - not the nannies."
According to the insider, George is "in major need of a vacation. He's totally burnt out. Suddenly you're responsible for other people, which is terrifying."
George previously broke his silence nearly three months after welcoming his twin kids. The "Tomorrowland" actor explained, "Right now my job is changing diapers and walking them around a little bit. I really didn't think at 56 that I would be the parent of twins. Don't make plans. You always have to just enjoy the ride."
Amal gave birth to a healthy baby boy and baby girl in June. The couple named their son Alexander and their daughter Ella as both of them were very popular names in the U.S. Alexander has been in the top 20 most popular male names since 2000 and Ella since 2008.
According to report, 13321 baby boys were named Alexander in 2016, placing it at No. 11 on the list of the most popular names. Meanwhile, 7866 baby girls were named Ella last year, making it the 17th most popular female name.
George Clooney and Amal got engaged in April 2014 and tied the knot in September the same year at a palace in Venice, Italy. It was his second marriage. He was previously married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.
