The 'You're Still the One' hitmaker performed her old and new songs at the tournament's opening night in New York City on August 28.

AceShowbiz - Shania Twain just turned 52 years old on Monday, August 28, and she knew exactly how to celebrate it. Instead of spending time with her family, the Grammy-winning singer kicked off the U.S. Open with an explosive performance. It looked like she wanted to celebrate the special occasion by doing what she loves most; singing.

Hours before her performance, Shania took to social media to express her excitement. She posted a photo that saw her posing in front of a tennis court where she was going to perform. "@usopen day. I can't wait to perform. What a way to spend my birthday!" so she captioned the pic.

Sporting a revealing black dress with plunging neckline, the 52-year-old singer rocked the stage during the annual tennis tournament at Arthur Ashe Stadium with show-stopping performances of her hit songs, including "That Don't Impress Me Much" and "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!", as well as some tracks off her new album "Now".

"Now" marks Shania's first effort in fifteen years, following chart-topping "Up!" that was released in 2002. "It's been a lot of hard work, but the most fun hard work I've ever done. I've had to learn a lot about independence on this album," she previously said of the upcoming album, which is set to arrive on September 29.

She further explained, "I wrote all the songs, so there's a continuity there, I think, emotionally. There might be more variety on this album than on any [of my] other albums. There will be some surprises on there. I think there are a couple of things on there that are more classic me from the past. It's relatable."

Additionally, Shania is scheduled to bring her new music on the road next year. She will be criss-crossing North America for the extensive trek, which will kick off in Tacoma on May 3 and conclude in Las Vegas on August 4, 2018.
